The Cagebrook Group benefice is a group of 5 semi-rural and rural parishes located south of Hereford, roughly covering the area between: Belmont Abbey, Swainshill, BT Madley, and Lock’s Garage.
As part of Deanery Reorganisation, it has been proposed by the Joint Council that the 5 parishes of the Cagebrook Group (Allensmore, Clehonger, Eaton Bishop, Kingstone, and Thruxton) would join with 3 parishes from the Ewyas Harold Group (Kilpeck, St Devereux, and Wormbridge) to form a new Benefice of 8 Parishes .
Although the legal side of this reorganisation will take some time, it was agreed that we would begin collaborating as an expanded group from March 2025. We are in the process of selecting a name for our new benefice, which we hope to start using from Easter 2025.
