The Benefice of Wolverhampton St Martin and St Stephen

Welcome to the Benefice of Wolverhampton Saint Martin and Saint Stephen.

The churches of St Martin of Tours, Rough Hills and St Stephen the Martyr, Springfield, became the Benefice of Wolverhampton St Martin and St Stephen in December 2015.

Whilst they are not adjoined to each other geographically, they are served by the same clergy.  Fr Roger Gilbert SSC currently ministers to the people of St Stephen’s. The Vicar at Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Ettingshall, Farrington Road, Wolverhampton WV4 6QH, was our Interim Priest; however, this is now vacant. The 3 Society Parishes in Wolverhampton work closely together.

At present, St Martin’s is unavailable for acts of worship due to the building being unsafe. The Parochial Church Council has also petitioned the Diocese for closure at this time. All enquiries about St Martin’s can be made via this website. All worship in the Benefice is now located at St Stephen’s, Hilton Street, WV10 0LF.
