Easter is nearly here. I pray that you have achieved the goals you might have set yourselves for the 40 days. I will mention it later on, but I have been blessed to lead the Lent Exploration with so many people wanting to know more about our faith and how we might express ourselves to others and its importance to us.

Soon we will be proclaiming Alleluia! Christ is Risen! The hallowed call is raised by the faithful. The response? A resounding He is Risen Indeed! Alleluia! By the time of publishing we will be into Holy Week. Following a jubilee year of rest for the Ministry team last year, there is a full programme of services for us to worship, praise and pray. Details are at the end of the Newsletter. We are an Easter people. As such this time of year should always hold extra special meaning for us. Through the events of Holy Week and the Triduum (From Maundy Thursday to Easter Day) our faith is confirmed through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. There is always time to pray. Our Lord Jesus did so daily, I pray that you will too. Somewhere on your noticeboards or tables will be a lovely poster which says, “Your Bible Is Not Just For Sunday’s”. The lay minister who puts that poster together does so because they realise that each day is a faith day. Our faith is not like the Easter eggs that are on sale, almost from Boxing day, to be consumed and forgotten. Faith is to hold Christ’s teachings at the very heart of who are and what we do. It is a living, giving wonderful gift. I pray that the whole of this Easter season, and every day beyond, will be a time for us to remember the price that God paid for our salvation through his Son’s death on the Cross and our Lord’s glorious resurrection which brings us to the promised Christian hope of eternal life. With every blessing. Alleluia. Reverend Al.
