Bamburgh, Belford & Lucker

We are a Benefice of three churches, St Aidan’s Bamburgh, St Mary’s Belford and St Hilda’s Lucker. All three churches have very different characters.  We share one vicar, Revd Louise Taylor-Kenyon, and two additional priests, Revd Phyl Carruthers and Revd Paul Knox. We offer weekly Communion in all our churches as well as a number of other acts of worship weekly and monthly as well as other opportunities to gather together.

Cross on the Coast

for 1 hour

Our Cross on the Coast services (shared with the Benefice of Beadnell, Ellingham and North Sunderland) take place at 7pm each Wednesday during Lent until the week before Palm Sunday.
Everyone is strongly encouraged to come to as may of these as possible as part of our own Lenten journey.
The theme this year is "The Way of the Cross : Our Faith Journeys"

Stations of the Cross

Every Saturday at for 1 hour
St Mary's, Belford

During Lent, Revd Pul will be leading the Stations of the Cross on Saturdays at 5pm at Mary's.
Walking the 14 Stations of the Cross is a work of the heart. We see the God who came to share in the reality of the suffering world, who came to take our cross in order to transform our hearts of stone. He wants to give us a heart of flesh instead.
Join a devotional journey around the church taking in each station with prayer, space and contemplation giving an hour of thoughtful reflection in the midst of our busy lives.
