Cherwell Valley Benefice

The Cherwell Valley Benefice is a group of Anglican churches in the Cherwell Valley in Oxfordshire. They share the same clergy and vision: ‘ “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.’ Matthew 22.36-40

Safeguarding

Our Benefice is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO), Jane White. Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO through the Benefice office or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (https://www.oxford.anglican.org/safeguarding). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
