Dear Friends

Easter Day is quickly approaching but before we celebrate the glorious resurrection of Jesus we have other experiences to offer.

Today at 1.00 pm we have the Lent Lunch (see attached flyer for details).

Tomorrow on Maundy Thursday 7.30 pm – we have a quiet, reflective service as we journey with Jesus towards the Cross, offering beauty in stillness.

On Good Friday we have our usual Messy Church (see attached flyer for details). This event will be full of family fun and hot dogs and hot cross buns for all as well as our Easter trail.

We then move over to St Botolph’s in Eastwick for 2.00 pm, to remember the story of Jesus on the Cross, we will be using a mixture of classical and modern music, props to aid our reflection and everyone will be able to take part in this hour of reflection, ultimately filled with hope.

Then on Saturday evening we have our Easter Vigil at St Mary’s, starting at 7.00 pm. We will have a firepit, sausage rolls, cake and prosecco as we journey together round the firepit, remembering the story of God and the story of us, with humour and reflection too. For this service everyone will be able to take part. You will need on outdoor chair and rug though to keep you warm as the first part of this service is outside.

Then on Easter Day our normal 9.30 service at St James will be a family friendly, hopeful and happy service to celebrate that ‘Jesus has risen’.

If you want to chat and find our more about Easter join us at Terlings Park for hot cross buns, tea and coffee and the Easter Egg trail from 11.00 am.

I hope we see you at one of our many opportunities to remember what Easter is all about.

Every blessing

Alison
