Dear Friends
The sun is shining, the birds are singing and it is so good to be able to experience this.
What or who would you like to give thanks for today?
I give thanks for the very many people who work behind the scenes to make sure all that we plan and do as a Benefice happens, all our team ministries:-
Jimmy’s Baby and Toddler Group
Wednesday Welcome
Messy Church
Community Dog Walks
The people who pull our content for the local magazines together and those that deliver them for us.
Not to mention all that happens in our different services across the Benefice; music, readings, prayers, sermons.
Plus, the churches always looking clean and wonderful thanks to our cleaning teams with flowers both inside and outside, not to mention that large area that we have for each of our churches; St James, St Botolph’s and St Mary’s, our churchyards, that are looked after so well by volunteers from the community and churches.
Believe it or not, there is also a lot of administration and we are very fortunate in the administrators we have and our PCC members, Treasurers and church wardens.
There are so many people to be thankful for and I hope each person feels valued.
This weekend we have our next Community Dog Walk – starting from The Queens Head, Allens Green at 2.30 pm. I would encourage you to join us if you can, you don’t need a dog to walk with us, you may need some sturdy footwear as we will be in the countryside, and if you do not feel like walking there is a lovely beer garden at the pub where we will arrive back for a drink together at around 4.00 pm.
Before that though we will have our 9.30 am communion service at St James, High Wych followed by our Family service at 11.15 am at St Botolph’s, Eastwick
I look forward to seeing you at one or all of the services/activity this weekend.
Every blessing
Alison
