Dear Friends
How can it be May tomorrow?
I keep putting dates into my diary of Sept and beyond and it feels like this year is galloping away. We have weddings and baptisms as the summer comes upon us – all joyful and wonderful events to celebrate. Our Community Dog Walk last weekend was very successful, with a baby, doggies, people from across the whole Benefice all ending up in the Queens Arms for rest and relaxation – a lovely way to spend a warm, sunny, Sunday afternoon.
The film night at Prem and Usha’s was really well attended, and a massive ‘thank you’ for their hospitality and an amazing screen to watch the film and eat popcorn! The Shack is a thought provoking film which really helps you to understand how the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit work in community together – told in such a poignant and finally uplifting way – it is definitely one to watch.
As we turn our eyes to this weekend we have our:-
8.00 am BCP Communion service at St James, High Wych, followed by our
9.30 am Family Service, at St James, High Wych – starting with breakfast with the short family friendly service beginning at 10.00 am.
Weather permitting the May Fayre in Sawbridgeworth from 12 noon will see Amanda, Margaret and Rosie selling all the sea creatures from last year’s Scarecrow Festival (to make room for this year’s Enchanted Forest) – please support them if you are able to.
Attached are our readings and Welcome sheet for this weekend.
Hope you see you at some point.
Every blessing
Alison
