The Cantamus Group brings together voices and instruments for a varied and unhurried programme — the perfect way to pause at the close of the day and let music do its gentle work.

The evening draws on three rich traditions. From the Renaissance come the madrigals, those intricate, interweaving songs of the English and Italian masters, by turns playful and tender. The part songs carry us into a later age, with the warm harmonies music written for the sheer pleasure of singing together. A gentle time to simply enjoy , enduring melodies that have been passed from voice to voice across the generations.
