Straw, hi-vis jackets, hard hats, chef’s whites — and a whole lot of imagination — brought Poslingford churchyard bursting back to life, as our much-loved Scarecrow Event returned to gently slow the traffic and brighten our days.
Visitors to the village are greeted by a wonderful array of cheerful scarecrows, all crafted around this year’s creative theme: “Occupations”. From chefs, farmers to builders, showed the talent and fun spirit of our community.
But it wasn’t just about the scarecrows! The event also brought out incredible generosity, with donations gathered for our Community Pantry. These were handed over to our wonderful Vicar, who will ensure every contribution reaches those who need it most.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part, helped organise, or supported this year’s celebration. Once again, Poslingford has shown just what can happen when creativity, kindness, and community spirit come together — and it’s a truly wonderful sight to see.
