Lee Abbey Retreat

Occurring
for 1 day, 22 hours
Venue
Lee Abbey
Address
Lynton Devon, EX35 6JJ

Lee Abbey is set on the spectacular North Devon Coast, in the Exmoor National Park. It is a Christian Community which provides retreats and holidays in a Christian setting. Each year, the Chalke Valley Benefice arranges a weekend away at this beautiful place. You are most welcome to join us.

This is an opportunity to see your old friends and meet some new ones, a happy, fun and inclusive atmosphere, good food, stunning scenery and a chance to think about faith. You can be as involved in all the activities as you wish or just take the opportunity to relax and be with friends.

We welcome everyone - and it is for all the family - some families come with three generations. So invite your friends and family, and let’s make this our 15th year a very special weekend. We are hoping to have 110 people in the main house.

What's included
* Accommodation on Friday and Saturday night
* All meals from Friday evening through to Sunday Lunch. A glass of wine with dinner on Saturday
* Talks by the Lee Valley team
* Prayer ministry, and Christ in Quiet in the Chapel
* A variety of walks from a gentle stroll to an energetic hike
* Tea time activities – craft workshop – men's discussion – prayer walk

Our churches

Safeguarding

Our Benefice is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Benefice Safeguarding Officer, Jane Guy, telephone 01722 781077. Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our own Safeguarding Officer.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact the Benefice Safeguarding Officer, Jane Guy on 01722 781077 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Jeremy Carter on 07469 857888 (during working hours) or 0303 0031111 (out of office hours).

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
