St Mary's held a very successful Open Churchyard day in September. Over 100 people climbed the tower to see the view over the Blackmore Vale; lots of children took part in activities such as helping to build a bug hotel under the guidance of The Dorset Wildlife Trust, handling owls and sending their teddies down a zip wire from the top of the tower; a group of volunteers had a go at repointing the churchyard wall with lime mortar and many people enjoyed tea and cake.
