This is to remind everyone that if you have a role in your church eg, as sidesperson or welcomer, serving refreshments, or supporting activities involving children and young people or vulnerable adults, you are required to undertake Safeguarding training at basic and foundation level. This has to be refreshed every three years as the training is updated. 

The training can be completed online and to gain access to the course, please consult with your Parish Safeguarding Officer.

 Occasionally, courses are also available to do in person, either locally or in the Deanery and we will advertise these when they are available. If you’re not sure, please ask your Parish Safeguarding Officer: Jenny Wray-Bliss in Westbury and Yvette Croft in Dilton Marsh. Their contact details are available in your local church.
