All Saints Organ Appeal – Update

As many people will know, we have been raising funds for some essential maintenance on the pipe organ at All Saints Church. The organ’s “mechanical action” – the intricate system connected to the keys that allows the instrument to play – desperately needs a complete overhaul. Because this work highly specialised and time consuming, the cost is estimated at around £11,000.

The Good News

After seven months of wonderful fundraising events, I am pleased to report that we have surpassed our initial goal! We have raised just over £12,000, which means we have the funds necessary to begin this essential work.

Looking Ahead

We are hoping to begin the work in the next couple of months, depending on our organ builder’s schedule. While we have enough to start, our work isn’t quite finished. We are now aiming to reach a £20,000 mark. This extended goal will go into the established organ fund for future maintenance and potential alterations, ensuring the organ remains in peak condition for decades to come.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the appeal so far – whether you donated, volunteered at an event, or helped spread the word. I am truly grateful for your generosity.

How You Can Help

Our hope and prayer is that this work will preserve the organ for future generations, allowing it to continue sounding to the glory of God. If you haven’t yet had a chance to give, please consider a donation of any size. Every gift helps us safeguard this beautiful instrument for the long term.
