The Rev Michael Waters - Alive, Baptised, in Community

A message from Michael

It is approaching the 95th Anniversary of my Baptism. My desire to celebrate it was stimulated by an adult baptism just outside the church and confirmed by the experience of a child’s baptism in the Communion Service at All Saints’. And so, I decided to walk from my home of the past 25 years to the church where I was baptised in 1930, when the River Esk was in severe flood.

It was on Holy Cross Day – a Sunday, as it will be this year – September 14th. I would like to visit all the Churches on my way. They will be short calls, about 10 minutes, when I shall bring a gift and a priestly blessing and ask for a blessing from you as I pursue my way.

My walk is in aid of All Saints’ and to honour Baptism.

My schedule is:

 Saturday 13th

10.00am Fylingthorpe Methodist Church

10.20 Madonna House

10.35 St Stephen’s

10.50 RHB Methodist Church

1.00 All Saints’ Hawsker and Hawsker Methodists
