Let us worship God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
‘Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes, and I will observe it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.’ (Psalm119:33-34)
Hymn: Angel-voices ever singing... Nehemiah 8:1-4a, 8-12; Colossians 3:12-17
As sisters and brothers in God’s family, we come to ask our Father for forgiveness:
Most merciful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we confess that we have sinned in thought, word and deed. We have not loved you with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves. In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us to amend what we are, and direct what we shall be; that we may do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with you, our God. Amen.
May the God of love bring us back to himself, forgive us our sins, and assure us of his eternal love in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the day: Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: help us so to hear them, to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them that, through patience and the comfort of your holy word, we may embrace and for ever hold fast the hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Matthew 24:30-35

Let us pray: We pray for We pray for We pray for We pray for We pray for We pray for
St Peter’s Church and for the Church throughout the world, that we will thrive; world leaders, especially in the Holy Land, that peace and justice will reign; all that God has created, that the world and it’s creatures will thrive; Sheringham, that it’s beating community heart will be strong and healthy; those who are sick, suffering or struggling, that their needs will be exceeded; the people who have lost loved ones, that they will be comforted.
Let us pray for the coming of God’s kingdom in the prayer that Jesus taught us:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hymn: Lord, Thy Word abideth...
May God who clothes the lilies and feeds the birds of the sky, who leads the lambs to pasture and the deer to water, who multiplied loaves and fishes and changed water into wine, lead us, feed us, multiply us, and change us to reflect the glory of our Creator now and through all eternity: and may the blessing of God Almighty who is Father, Son and Hoy Spirit bless us and remain with us always. Amen.
Let us go in peace to love and serve the Lord, in the name of Christ. Amen.
