Claxton: St Andrew

Welcome to Claxton St Andrew Church, which has stood on this site since Anglo-Saxon times. We are open everyday and welcome visitors to our churchyard which is maintained as a peaceful and natural setting and has recently been awarded a Bronze Eco-Award by the A Rocha environmental charity. The church building dates from the eleventh to nineteenth centuries and offers a quiet, simple space for its many visitors.

The parish of Claxton: St Andrew is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Mrs Leo Smith (01508 493695 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Team ( 01603 882345) [email protected]

If you think someone is in immediate danger, call the police on 999.
