Rockland: St Mary

Welcome to St. Mary's Church, a small, cosy church dating back to the fourteenth century and occupying an older site. Close by is a small section of wall from St. Margaret's Church which lay east of St. Mary's until the early eighteenth century. St. Mary's is open daily between 9am and 4.30pm (dusk if earlier)

St. Mary's Church also serves the nearby village of Hellington, where St. John the Baptist's church is in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust and is frequently open for visitors.

The parish of Rockland: St Mary is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Mrs Leo Smith (01508 493695 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Team ( 01603 882345) [email protected]

If you think someone is in immediate danger, call the police on 999.
