We have had an interregnum, without a vicar, but on 7th June 2021, we were delighted to have Rev Nigel Lacey installed as our new incumbent. He and his wife, Rosie, are most welcome to the new parish.
The new area has four churches and so it will not be possible to have priest-led worship in all churches every Sunday. At St Bartholomew's we shall have Sung Eucharist each second and fourth Sunday of the month at 9.30am. There is also Sung Eucharist at St Margaret's Hopton at 11am on the first and third Sundays. The other churches in the new benefice are St Benedict's, Gunton and St Peter's, Gunton where there are services at 9.30 on the first and third Sundays and 11 o'clock on the second and fourth Sundays respectively.
We conform to the C of E guidelines with regard to safety. We ask all members of the congregation to sign in and leave a contact number. Please use the hand gel as you come through the door. We practice social distancing and wear masks. In keeping with guidance, we do not sing. Nevertheless, we have other music. We do not have coffee after but we meet to chat outside. We look forward to a return to singing and mingling again in the near future.
