St Margaret's, Hopton-on-Sea

St Margaret's is a Victorian church building in Hopton-on-Sea, a coastal village south of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk. It is home to a congregation which serves the local community in Hopton by sharing the love of God in the person and work of Jesus by the power of his Holy Spirit. We are part of the Diocese of Norwich in the Church of England.

Services are held at St Margaret's on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month at 11am. When there is a 5th Sunday in the month we gather together for worship at a Benefice service at one of the churches in our group of parishes.

Other activities take place during the week, including a drop-in each Monday from 10am to 12 noon, and Little Footprints Play & Stay for pre-school aged children each Thursday morning during term time.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Safeguarding

Our parish of Hopton is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Natasha Garforth ([email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer (email: [email protected] Phone: 01603 882 345). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
