This is one of the longest roads in our parish continuing the other side of the roundabout to form what the map calls Clapham Road South.Thank you Lord that you know the name of each person who lives in this road, thank you that you made them all different and you love them as they are. We pray that you will touch each of these lives at the point of their deepest need, that they may grow in their knowledge of you and your saving power. Amen.
Today is the feast of Pentecost. The Day of Pentecost marks fifty days since Easter Day and brings the Easter season to an end. It is a major feast of the Church’s year when Christians recall how God’s Holy Spirit was given to the disciples after Jesus’ ascension, empowering them to begin the work of making disciples of all nations.<br><br>We pray that God's Holy Spirit is at work in the lives of those who live in St. Peter's Street, so they may comprehend how much God loves them and wants then to know life in all its fulness.
During this period of Thy Kingdom Come we have been reflecting on The Lord's Prayer as pray for the residents of Roman Hill along with friends and family members who do not yet know the love of Jesus. In the church we also remember the Ascension of Jesus back to heaven after he was raised to life on Easter Sunday. It is also the beginning of a time of global prayer 'Thy Kingdom Come' https://www.thykingdomcome.global/<br><br>Thank you Lord that you love the world you created, you know all that is happening in each country and yet you are also know and love each person living in Cathcart Street. Nothing is too big or too small for you. We pray that the people in this street will be aware of your presence with them this week, through creation, the love of friends and neighbours or the kindness of strangers. Bless and encourage them in their daily lives. Amen.
