The weather stayed fine, and the support from everyone who visited, helped or donated over the 3 days was heartening, making the flower festival with local family history an enjoyable, successful community event. With special thanks to local rose growers, Whartons Nurseries Ltd of South Green for their generous donations of pot roses which were displayed, raffled, and sold to raise funds towards the church roof repairs.
