Great Yarmouth: St Mary

A friendly, welcoming listed church dating from the Georgian period, St. Mary’s was completed in 1831 on the banks of the river Yare. St Mary’s situated on the east side of Southtown Road, has a long and glorious history; over the years it has served the residents of Southtown very well, and is now part of the Parish of Great Yarmouth.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO ([email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (www.dioceseofnorwich.org/safeguarding or call 01603 882345).

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police on 999 and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
