Accessibility

We have plans for a compost loo, hopefully this autumn once we have all the necessary permissions... its complicated doing anything in the grounds of a grade 1 listed building with Scheduled Monument status. We are fund raising to make it happen. Meanwhile, there's sometimes a portaloo for events or message me and I'll open up the village hall if I'm around.

Roadside parking in the lane by the South lychgate or outside the village hall and then walk through Tan House Farm yard... a public right of way.

The compost loo will be fully accessible. The portaloo and village hall are when available.

Temporary ramps are available inside the church

Hearing (induction) Loop

Several of us living in the parish have coeliac disease or are gluten sensitive, so communion bread is always gluten free as are refreshments.

We extend a warm welcome to everyone to Dore Abbey...

Our Building

We have a bronze award and are almost eligible for silver.

Dore Abbey is Grade 1 listed; a number of the chest tombs in the graveyard are grade 2 listed

Music and Worship

We are very grateful to Nick Cooper-Tomkins and his merry band of local bell ringers who ring every 4th Sunday morning for the morning communion service as well as for special occasions. Visiting teams are welcome to use our bells by arrangement.
