Cradley church is proud to be in possession of an historic and unusually large chest which is made from a single tree trunk and probably dates back to the 14th Century, when it would have held the priest’s vestments and church valuables. Before the introduction of civil parish councils in 1894, it contained the parish records.

We are very grateful to Churchcare who have donated nearly £1800 towards the cost of restoring our church chest.
