September in Edgcott began happily with the Annual Cream Teas in aid of church funds. The afternoon was fine but not as hot as much of July and August, so everyone enjoyed chatting over tea and scones. Many thanks as ever to the Village Hall Committee for their help and to everyone who came to support. Our next fundraiser will be the Autumn Fayre in November - please see November Life Together for details.

A Parochial Parish Council meeting took place in the same week, kindly hosted by Mrs Jean Crawford. Plans for the coming months were discussed as well as the church repairs, following the Quinquennial Review of the building. Andy Benfield has been busy over the summer making the essential repairs highlighted in the report. We look forward to welcoming everyone to services in the church from Harvest to Christmas, where the benefits of Andy's hard work will be clear for all to see.

Edgcott church was open for the Ride and Stride in aid of the Bucks Historic Churches Trust on 12 September. Thanks to Pam Behagg for providing refreshments and to David Knight for overseeing the church for the day.
