Glazeley & Deuxhill
Monthly celebration of the gathering inaugurated by Jesus 'Do this in remembrance of me'. Organ, hymns, readings, sermon, Celebration.
Daddy's Hat (DH) concerts
At a church somewhere near you.... See the list above
Local musicians make music in local churches and refreshments are served... Free, but donations to cover expenses are welcome (Sally, the organiser, passes round a hat that belonged to her father, hence the name!).
DH8 … Sunday June 19th, 4.30pm at Sue Crichton’s Wild Orchid Meadow (hope you have her poster?), followed by a rare 6pm service, under Loughton Yew Tree (or in neighbour’s barn next door, if wet!)
DH9 … Saturday July 30th,
3pm at St Bartholomew’s 2, Richard’s Castle. (TBC)
DH10 … Saturday August 20th, 3pm at Cleobury North church, with Concordia & friends.
September … please see Corvedale Festival leaflet, as Jarualda supported DH5 at Aston Botterell in March and now it’s our turn to give back! These are all professional, local musicians who welcomed (and trusted) the opportunity to perform in that sacred rural space, free of all charges, despite their (unbeknown to me at the time!) world class status
DH12 in October will involve a few of these lovely people again, possibly as soloists and hopefully with some of their friends from Concordia.
Anyone in a rural community like your own, wishing to host that event, should make contact with me very soon …or the musicians will take over!
See above for the current I (provisional) programme, which extends as far as October. The exact date depends on the venue and availability of our musicians
