Our Heritage Fund Stage 2 / Delivery Application is Under Assessment

The Churchwarden and Project Manager, Mrs Bobbie Matulja, submitted our Stage 2 / Delivery Phase application to repair the tower, spire and south side of the nave roof to the National Lottery Heritage Fund in time for the 3rd quarterly deadline on August 6th.   Because it is in the largest “over £250,000” category, the application is now in a 3 month assessment process pending a decision by the Heritage Fund in December 2025.   Working towards our Stage 1 / Development Grant award at the end of last year felt like the hardest part, so we wait with faith and hope.  If all goes well, we hope to have the builders in next summer and to offer a range of Lottery funded community events which celebrate the history and heritage  of this lovely building.

The PCC would like to thank the Friends of Nash and Boraston Churches, who are contributing an incredible £12,000 towards the delivery project - especially the Friends Group Committee for putting on their own annual fundraising programme, everyone who participates in the 49 Club and everyone who comes along to the events the Friends put on.  We have also secured partnership funding awards from Shropshire Historic Churches Trust and Lasletts Charity, which is excellent news.
