A Book of Common Prayer Service of Evening Prayer, usually with musical accompaniment to the liturgy with a few hymns and a reflective homily. Whether you are able to sing along or not, you are so welcome to come and join in.

Every year we celebrate the work of God in and through All Saints Church, Closworth and the wonderful community in this place. All are welcome to this service of Holy Communion with traditional language and especially to bring and share refreshments together after the service. All Saints Day is the 1st Nov, but we think the Friday is the better day to gather, just don't call it Halloween!

A service focused on those who feel the pain of losing a loved one, especially those who have lost someone in the last year. There will be hymns, prayers, bible readings and reflection, and a time in the service to have names of the deceased remembered. All welcome.
If you have a name you would like to be read please email [email protected] with the subject 'All Souls Service' and in the message share the names of those you wish to be remembered.

The Rector's normal Sunday pattern shifts for November to be able to be at different parishes each year for Remembrance Sunday.
This year there will be no service on Remembrance Sunday at Closworth, there will be services at Pendomer, West Coker, Hardington and East Coker.
The Rector's monthly Holy Communion will instead be at 9:15am on Sunday 16th. Accompanying the Rector this Sunday will be Very Rev'd Toby Wright, Dean of Wells Cathedral, to preach.

Crime Author and Church of England Priest, Canon Penny Stephens, will give an engaging talk on faith and writing, sharing her passions for both and hopefully inspiring us. Refreshments available too, and if you bring a copy of 'Till Death Us Do Part' I'm sure she will sign it too! All welcome.

For 5th Sundays in a month the entire Benefice gathers together for Communion in one of our Parishes, this time it will be at St Mary's Hardington for the first Sunday of Advent. Reverend Philip Macaulay will preside and Canon John Owens will preach. All Welcome!

A service celebrating Jesus as the light of the world, aimed at young children and raising money for the Children's society (free entry but please bring a donation).
We will provide all the oranges, sticks and sweets etc, and hope to have some singing as we start to get into the Christmas feeling. Children welcome to come dressed as Angels, Shepherds, Wise Men. Animals.
Followed by tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake.
All very welcome.

9:15am every second Sunday of the month, using traditional language Common Worship, we hold a worship service of Holy Communion where all are welcome to join. Sometimes we have traditional hymns too.
