Lay Led Service
A service focused on those who feel the pain of losing a loved one, especially those who have lost someone in the last year. There will be hymns, prayers, bible readings and reflection, and a time in the service to have names of the deceased remembered. All welcome.
If you have a name you would like to be read please email [email protected] with the subject 'All Souls Service' and in the message share the names of those you wish to be remembered.

A service run with the Royal British Legion and local Scouts for the Church and Community to Remember those who serve our country and the victims of war.
A Lay led service suitable for all ages - Family friendly service
Join West Coker School students, staff and family for an afternoon service on Remembrance.
Every Third Sunday at 11am, with hymns and refreshments afterwards. All welcome to join.
Every year we want to celebrate the work of God in and through St Martins, the parish church of West Coker. St Martin's Day is the 11th of November, so we delay our celebration after Remembrance.
All are welcome to this special Communion service to be followed by refreshments.
Crime Author and Church of England Priest, Canon Penny Stephens, will give an engaging talk on faith and writing, sharing her passions for both and hopefully inspiring us. Refreshments available too, and if you bring a copy of 'Till Death Us Do Part' I'm sure she will sign it too! All welcome.

For 5th Sundays in a month the entire Benefice gathers together for Communion in one of our Parishes, this time it will be at St Mary's Hardington for the first Sunday of Advent. Reverend Philip Macaulay will preside and Canon John Owens will preach. All Welcome!
A service celebrating Jesus as the light of the world, aimed at young children and raising money for the Children's society (free entry but please bring a donation).
We will provide all the oranges, sticks and sweets etc, and hope to have some singing as we start to get into the Christmas feeling. Children welcome to come dressed as Angels, Shepherds, Wise Men. Animals.
Followed by tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake.
All very welcome.
Join West Coker School, students, staff and families for a Christingle service remembering Jesus as the light of the world as we approach Christmas. All are welcome, and it is free, but we would like to take a donation for the Christingle charity - 'The Children's Society.'
Traditional but welcoming all ages, we go through the Bible readings of the Christmas story, with some poetry, and of course a selection of beautiful carols. Refreshments will follow the service
The community is welcome to join the school at the church for a Carol service with some readings and prayers from the children.
The Rector will lead this family friendly retelling of the Christmas story, especially aimed at young children, and will be looking for volunteers to act out different parts of the story. We will also sing some favourite carols and Christmas songs. If any children want to come already dressed up as Nativity characters they are welcome to!
Bring in Christmas Day with Holy Communion, Carols and the company of church family. All Welcome - including Father Christmas.
