St John's, Batheaston

We are a Eucharistic church. Within the liturgy, word, symbol, gesture and silence - all speak to us. Many of us find beauty, both visual and musical, a pathway to God. St John’s follows the lectionary using Common Worship. We are starting to explore additional forms of Worship, such as Café Church, and service times to better reach our village, beyond that of a Sunday church.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Batheaston is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’ safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Christine Huard, [email protected] 07778 909100, or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Ben Goodhind, [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
