Summer Fete

Occurring
for 4 hours
Venue
St John's, Batheaston
Address
Northend Batheaston Bath, BA1 7ES, United Kingdom

Come to the Batheaston Fete in June and you will see the brightly coloured ribbons of the maypole, blankets spread on the grass with families enjoying freshly cooked burgers, children eating ice creams, a crowd chatting over a beer or glass of prosecco and people moving from stall to stall clutching coconuts, jars of sweets or a homemade cake.

The community comes together as church, school, Brownies, Scouts and other village groups gather to celebrate. Eagerly anticipated by all, this traditional fete promises fun for the whole family, including a barbeque and bar to refresh hungry fete-goers.

The fete will be held in the Batheaston New Village Hall and the adjacent Church field. The field will be filled as usual with many different kinds of stalls and games, including skittles, children’s games, plants, books, tombola, delicious homemade cakes, cream teas and ice-creams.
If you would like to be involved in any way, please contact Louisa Kile at [email protected]

St John's, Batheaston

We are a Eucharistic church. Within the liturgy, word, symbol, gesture and silence - all speak to us. Many of us find beauty, both visual and musical, a pathway to God. St John’s follows the lectionary using Common Worship. We are starting to explore additional forms of Worship, such as Café Church, and service times to better reach our village, beyond that of a Sunday church.
