ASH WEDNESDAY 2025 Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, when the Church remembers the 40 days that Jesus spent in the rocky wilderness of Judea, wrestling with the temptations to misuse his power. Christians use this time to pray more, reflect on Jesus' teachings in the Bible, and perhaps make some symbolic gesture of self-denial, such as fasting or giving up alcohol. At the end of Lent we will celebrate Easter Day, on Sunday April 5th, when Rev. Judith Lincoln will lead worship with Holy Communion. Refreshments will be served, possibly with chocolate!!

A quite traditional but also fairly informal service of worship. We are a small, but welcoming community. You don't have to dress up. Refreshments are usually served afterwards.
Communion is usually shared twice a month. Please ask if gluten-free wafers are required.
The church is at the back of the Healthy Living Centre. On Sunday mornings, when the main centre is closed, we use the blue church door at the back of the Centre. There is ample parking.

Coffee Morning

Coffee mornings are held every 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 10.00am. Informal chat over a cup of tea or coffee with a bring-and-buy stall and cake stall, finishing between 11.30 and 12.00 noon. Everyone is welcome.
Why not come along and make new friends. (NB No coffee mornings during August )

A 45 minute said service of Holy Communion (or Prayer for Healing on the last Wed each month) Anyone is welcome.

Table Top sale with refreshments. Tables are available to rent at reasonable rates. See posters. It would be very helpful if booking fees are handed in to the Healthy Living Centre reception desk before the sale, as sometimes potential bookings exceed availability.
