“Saving Enmore Church Roof” URGENT Roof Appeal Fund We are pleased to share the latest update on our Urgent Roof Appeal, launched to fund the essential repairs needed to protect and preserve Enmore Church. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have now reached 40% of our £15,000 target. This total includes contributions from the school’s non‑uniform day, individual donations, and a generous gift‑in‑kind donation of roof tiles valued at £1,600, for which we are extremely grateful. Gift Aid, where applicable, is also helping us move steadily towards our goal. We are delighted to report that the first phase of the repair works has now been completed. Progress has not been without its challenges, the weather has been both too wet and then too hot, something we never expected to be reporting in a roof appeal update, but the work is now well underway. As we continue with the Urgent Roof Appeal, we are reaching out once again to ask for your support in helping us achieve 50% of our target. We need just £1,500 more to reach this important milestone, which will then enable us to apply for matched grant funding which will only be possible thanks to your important contributions. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to the target for our much‑loved church. On behalf of the PCC, thank you for your continued kindness, encouragement, and commitment to Enmore Church. Your generosity is making a real and lasting difference with preservation of Enmore Church. Sincere thanks from us all, Enmore Church PCC members Donations can be made by cheque made out to St Michael’s Church Enmore, delivered to the Treasurer Petra Ingram, at Parklands, Church Lane, or via BACS payment to Account: 00269228, Sort Code: 30-91-20, Ref: Urgent appeal. The Church also enjoys strong support from the local community with many non churchgoers giving support to the fabric fund and to fund-raising events in general. A monthly book-swap group which meets on the first Saturday of every month has recently been launched. Do come along for a drink, chat and to lend/borrow books. In co-operation with the Village Hall Committee, quarterly quiz night social evenings (with a fish and chip supper) raise money for both church and village hall.
