Immanuel

Welcome to Oswaldtwistle Immanuel's A Church Near You pages. We are one of the three churches that form the Parish of Oswaldtwistle.

The Parish of Oswaldtwistle is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. Please see our dedicated safe guarding page for further details.

We have weekly Sunday Services and the content of these is displayed on the Church Notice board for each month.

We have an active bell ringing group, choir, Junior Church, Cricket, Dominoes and Bowling club.

Each Tuesday several volunteers help to clean the church and maintain the churchyard.

The Parish Office is open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9.30am - 2.15pm and on Thursday from 9.30am - 1.15pm. The telephone number for enquiries is 01254 382147 or email [email protected]

All are warmly welcomed to this very special concert by the North West Combined
Choirs Chorale. We are a group of singers combined from a number of North West
choirs that met for the first time in 2024 when we also presented a concert in
Immanuel Church and then travelled to Belgium where we sang at the Menin Gate
Last Post ceremony and gave a concert in the costal town of De Panne. Last year
we took our Mozart Requiem Concert on tour to the Église Notre-Dame-du-Travail
in Paris and on Friday April 17th we will be performing again in St Hilda’s Church,
Whitby, followed by participating in the Eskdale Festival’s National Choir day. The
choir includes singers from The Honour Choir, Blackburn People’s Choir, The East
Lancashire Hospitals Choir, Immanuel Church Choir, The Ordsall Acappella Singers,
the South Lakes Acappella, Blackburn Music Society and other church choirs.
