Ever wondered what Christianity is really all about?
We're excited to invite you to Christianity Explored – a relaxed, honest space to explore the biggest questions of life.
We'll look at the life of Jesus through Mark's Gospel and tackle questions like:
- Who was Jesus?
- Why did he come?
- What does it mean to follow him?
No question is off limits. No pressure. Just good conversation. Whether you're curious, sceptical, or exploring faith, you're welcome.

St Mary's

We are a welcoming, rural congregation meeting twice a month on the 2nd and last Sunday at 3pm. If you are walking, cycling or driving past do pop in, we'd love to meet you.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Hoddlesden St Paul & St Barnabas Darwen is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Sarah Hartley on 07846616295 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Catherine Smith on 07711485170 or email [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
