As we enter our second period of lockdown this year, it is with sadness that once more we cannot gather together for public worship to receive the sacraments of God's love. However, Church will remain open for private prayer, and resources are available at the back of Church to assist with this, together with a call to prayer from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, material for which is available in the link.St Paul’s will be open as usual from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm each day, and there will be prayer materials available at the back of Church. Please do make use of these, but please also take them away with you, to avoid risk of cross-contamination.Fr David will continue to say mass each day at the usual times on behalf of the parish, and these masses will be live-streamed to our Facebook page. Please note that, to allow for the live-streaming of the masses, church will need to be closed for brief periods throughout the week. These closures will be from 9.15 am to 10.15 am on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and from 11.45 am to 12.45 pm on Thursdays,On Sundays, there will be a live-streamed mass broadcast at 8.00 am, and in addition, we will continue with our Zoom Sunday Worship at 9.30 am. To join us on Zoom, the link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/408885561. The meeting will open from 9.20 am, and there will be an opportunity to continue with online chat afterwards. If there are any developments or changes to the guidance, I will be in touch to let you know.Remembrance SundayThis coming Sunday, of course, is Remembrance Sunday, and for this week only, there will be an extra live-streamed mass at 10.30 am, celebrated as a Requiem for all those who have died as a result of war, and including a two minutes’ silence at 11.00 am. This will mean that Church will be closed from 10.15 am to 11.45 am, to allow for this live-stream. In addition, there will be a recorded Civic Service of Remembrance, which will be available both on our Facebook and YouTube sites, premiering at 2.30 pm. This service was recorded prior to the lockdown restrictions being imposed.
