On the first and third Sundays of each month (during term time) children are welcome to meet at the Brindle Community Hall. To help make sure that Sunday School runs smoothly could we kindly ask that all pre-school children be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session. Parents and carers of older children join the 10.30am service. The children will walk to church with their leaders towards the end of the service.

Occasionally (when there is a special event in church or there are insufficient Sunday School leader volunteers) the Sunday School meet in the Cavendish Chapel at the far side of church. So, if the Brindle Community Hall door is locked, please bring your children to church by 10.30am.

The Sunday school is well attended. The older children expand topics to suit their more capable abilities and deeper understanding of the Christian faith. A number of our older Sunday school children have been confirmed and it is a pleasure to watch them take communion as part of their Sunday worship.

Games Night Fun on Saturday 21st June 5-7pm. £5 per person entry in Brindle Community Hall with baked potato supper.

A service of Holy Communion on the 2nd Sunday. Service of the Word on the 4th Sunday. On Sunday 26th January 2025 at 9am is the first of our 2025 uniformed organisations parade services - all welcome.

We’re delighted to share that Sam will be priested on Saturday 28th June at 3pm at Blackburn Cathedral. All are warmly invited to attend this special occasion and will be seated in unreserved areas of the Cathedral, with large screens available to follow the service. The service will also be livestreamed via YouTube for those unable to attend in person

Open Gardens. There is still an opportunity to volunteer to host an open garden. Currently two dates have been
put forward on 29th June and 6th July. Donations raised at these events will go to support Brindle St James’ church funds.

The Brindle St. James’ Walking Day Service is taking place on Sunday, 6th July 2025. We’ll gather outside the school
at 9:45 AM for a 10:00 AM start, walking round the village before returning to church for worship at 10:30 AM. All welcome.

Join in faith and fellowship at the community hall 7.30pm on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
In June 2025, the meeting take place at our summer outing to Lytham Hall for tour and tea. The cost is £27 for this special day out. Please see Sam, Jon or Rana in church for details.
