Step by Step to Save Christ Church: Join the Cartmel Sponsored Walk!Local residents and friends of Christ Church, Charnock Richard are being invited to pull on their walking shoes and join a special Sponsored Walk around Cartmel on Saturday 30th August to raise funds for the church’s much-needed restoration.The walk promises a fun and scenic day out in the beautiful Cumbrian village of Cartmel, known for its historic priory, charming streets, and surrounding countryside. Open to all ages and abilities, the event aims to bring the community together while supporting the preservation of one of Charnock Richard’s most treasured buildings.Funds raised will go toward vital repairs to the church roof, stonework, and interior, helping to safeguard the future of Christ Church as a place of worship, gathering, and service to the community.The Revd Jordan McDermott said: “We’d love as many people as possible to join us—whether you’re walking, donating, or cheering us on.
