Pumpkin Prayer

Dear God,

As I carve my Pumpkin, hear my prayer. Open my mind so I can learn about You (Cut the top of the Pumpkin)

Take away all my sins and forgive me for the wrong things I do.

( Clean out the inside of the Pumpkin)

Open my eyes so Your love I will see.

(Cut out the eyes shape of a heart if possible) 

I’m sorry for turning my nose up to all you have given me.

(Cut out nose shape of a cross if possible) 

Open my ears so Your word I will hear. (Cut ears out shaped like a Bible)

Open my mouth so I can tell others your are near.

(Cut mouth in shape of a fish if possible) 

Let your light shine in all I say and do. (Place a candle inside and light it)

Amen

St John’s church will be open 5pm-7pm on Friday 31st October (Halloween)

There will be a ‘trick or treat’ treasure hunt (not all be treats!), craft activities and a music playlist all about light.
