Coronation Sunday – Massive shout out to everyone who was involved in making last Sunday’s celebration a super event. It was good to be together on such a special occasion. We really are blessed with some gifted folk. Thanks be to God.

Barbara Quirk RIP Barbara’s funeral will take place in Church on Thursday 25th May at 12.45 pm. Her body will be received into church the evening before at 5 pm.

Christian Aid Week 14-20 May - Soaring costs are affecting people here and around the world. Families in Malawi are paying the price of this global crisis. Food, fuel, fertiliser and school fees have doubled in price in the last 12 months. And hard-working farmers are seeing their harvests fail as they experience the ever-increasing erratic weather. By donating to Christian Aid, we will be helping to improve the lives of folk whose lot is much tougher than ours. If you feel able to help, there are envelopes at the back of church, the contents of which we will process and forward to Christian Aid. Alternatively, you may make a donation on-line through the Christian Aid website.

Thy Kingdom Come 18th – 28th May, Ascension to Pentecost – This ecumenical prayer initiative that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus, is now in its 8th year. Every person, household and church are encouraged to pray during the 11 days in their own way. Specifically, we are personally invited to pray that God’s Spirit might work in the lives of 5 people who have not responded with their ‘Yes’ to God’s call. For those who have a smartphone you can download the Thy Kingdom Come app which will provide helpful resources. There will be a service of Holy Communion to mark the Ascension of our Lord at 10.45 am on Thursday.

Please also remember in your prayers: Rev Jane Everitt, Rev Martin Keighley, Elizabeth King, Chris Kelsall, Michaela Jones, Mark Price, Grantham Fidler, Tony Hardman, John Hawley & Peter Hollier. And the families of, Elizabeth Mustard, Barbara Quirk, Leslie Goodey and Rebecca Saunderson whose funerals are due to take place.
