Archbishop of York The Most Reverend & Right Honourable Stephen Cottrell is visiting Blackburn Diocese from 27th-29th May. There are several opportunities to hear him speak. The closest venue will be on Saturday 28th May, 1.00 till 3.00 pm at Jubilee Gardens in Cleveleys. Churches Together Cleveleys and Scripture Union are hosting a summer beach event to which we are invited.

The second event will be an open-air service at Whalley Abbey, with the theme ‘Rejoice’, which will happen on Friday the 27th May at 7:30pm. This is an event for the whole family and you are invited to bring a picnic and rug/folding chairs to enjoy the evening there.

On Saturday the 28th at 7pm Archbishop Stephen will be leading an evangelistic event at The Blackpool Pleasure Beach Globe Arena. This will be an evening of worship and testimony with a keynote address from the archbishop about what it means to follow Jesus and how He brings life in all its fullness. This event is particularly for those who have not yet made that decision, in the hope that they might come to do so! We’re invited and urged to bring friends. This is a ticketed event which the Vicar will be happy to organise for you.

There’s a sign-up sheet at the back of church to register your interest!
