Come and join us in silence, prayer and meditation as we reflect on some Good Friday devotions.
The Good Friday Liturgy is unlike any other service in the year, and is timed to coincide with the final three hours of Jesus’ suffering on the Cross.
A bare wooden cross stands in front of the congregation. We are invited to stand or kneel, one by one, before the cross and offer a prayer of thanksgiving for love so amazing, so divine.
Special prayers and readings, not heard at other times, are used. All are welcome.

The Shrine at Walsingham has been a feature of traditional services at Westbury-on-Trym since 1991. The Walsingham Group supports the shrine, its clergy and helpers with small gifts and maintain a lighted candle throughout the year in the holy House.
Our monthly service for young families, with children’s crafts, songs, prayers and supper.
