Marriage in a church is such a special celebration; following in the tradition of many who have made this loving commitment to one another. Standing in the company of family and friends and before God provides a strong foundation for marriage. We were delighted to celebrate with Sophie and Scott as they made wedding vows and begin their married life together. <br>
As you may be aware our church clock has not been working for some time. We had it inspected by an horologist towards the end of last year. The PCC agreed for the work to clean, service and install an automatic winding mechanism so that it would be returned to working order and the work was pencilled in for July.It then transpired that we needed a faculty from the Diocese for this, which is permission to proceed. The faculty has now been submitted and will be reviewed later this month. Once this has been approved the work can go ahead and our lovely clock restored to working order.
Hello Everyone, 1. We have some new news! Our parish of St Thomas a Becket, Pucklechurch and St James, Abson is combining with the Wick Benefice which includes three further churches in Wick, Doynton and Dyrham. The benefice is now called The Boyd Valley Benefice and we are now lucky to have a full time vicar who covers all five churches. 2. Anyone wishing to offer their talents in taking our church into a new era is very welcome. We grow as a community with Christ at our centre.3. We continue to take care of all as they come to worship God and share fellowship within our building. Please do contact us for weddings, baptisms and funerals as normal. You can ring our benefice administrator on 07935 590033 or via this email address: officepawdd@gmail.comWe look forward to seeing you.The St Thomas a Becket Team
