Christmas Day Holy Communion at St Thomas a Becket, Pucklechurch

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Thomas a Becket
Address
Westerleigh Road Pucklechurch Bristol, BS169RD, United Kingdom

Led by Rev'd Elaine Jones, we celebrate Jesus, the bread of life and his love of us in the service of Holy Communion. All are welcome to participate, either with a blessing at the altar rail or receiving communion. This service has special significance today on Christmas Day. As we celebrate Jesus' birth at Christmas, we also anticipate the depth of his love for us in the communion service.

We believe that Jesus was born to save us from our sins, to accompany us on our journey through life and to raise us to salvation with him in this world today as well as in our future eternal life. He said, "...I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep", John 10 -11

Start Christmas Day with God and continue with him throughout 2026.

St Thomas a Becket

St Thomas a Becket, Pucklechurch welcomes you to our historic parish church. There has been a worshipping community in our village for over 700 years.

We are an anglican church, part of the Church of England and currently offer regular Sunday worship at 10 am: Holy Communion and Morning Prayer, depending on the week.  Cafe church happens on the third Sunday of the month and is there for families of all ages, stages and sizes! There is now a regular Tuesday morning Morning Prayer service at 9.00 am. Everyone is welcome; local people, regulars and visitors.

We also offer baptisms, weddings and funerals, so do feel free to contact us.

We have close relationships with our C of E church school. They visit us and we visit them regularly!

The church building also hosts one of the two village playgroups, Tower Pre-School.

There are regular social and fundraising events at times of major Christian festivals and we support a range of charities, including our local foodbank at Mangotsfield.
