On Sunday, 8 December we have Café Church and our Family Gift Service at 10:00am. In the past we have collected unwrapped gifts, however, after speaking to the Salvation Army, we would like to collect pyjamas – any size but they must be new

And / or you might prefer to make a Christmas donation to The Children’s Society (which has Anglican roots) or Action for Children (which comes from the Methodist tradition). We welcome cash or cheques (payable to either body) in an envelope, marked with the name of your favoured charity. We will have Gift Aid forms available on the day, so income taxpayers can increase the value of their donation by 25%

Revd Peter Freeman writes: “I am taking a service on 14th December at 4.00pm at St Nicholas’ Church.
The service is a memorial service and is for people for whom Christmas is not always a joyful time. This may be due to many factors, but principally this is a service at which we will remember those we have loved and lost.

The names of the departed will be read out and should you wish a loved one’s name to be included perhaps you will be so kind as to let me know. There will be some light refreshments afterwards which will give those that wish the opportunity to chat with others. Hope you can make it”.
