A service of Holy Communion during Advent. You can expect a warm welcome, lighting Advent candles, hymns and worship songs, Bible reading and sermon, prayers and sharing bread and wine in communion. Refreshments served in the hall straight after the service. We don't have a separate children's group but can provide toys or activity sheets for children to use while they are with you during the service.

A wonderful opportunity to sing carols. hear the Christmas story retold and listen to a message of hope from our guest preacher, the Archdeacon of Canterbury - all surrounded by candlelight!

Christmas themed craft activities on arrival. Then we move into the Christingle service, when we will make up our Christingle decorations, discover what they represent, and worship Jesus, the Light of the World. We finish with refreshments. People of all ages are welcome and it's great for families with children (must be accompanied by a parent / carer).

An informal time to pray for Thanington together with other christians, regardless of denomination or church affiliation. We will pray together for God’s kingdom to come and God’s will to be done in Thanington as in heaven. We start promptly at 6pm and finish at 7pm.

Messy Church starts with a choice of activities. Then we gather together to sing, learn from the Bible, and pray. We finish by eating tea together. It's planned with families and primary aged children in mind but all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There isn't a charge to come in but we welcome donations from those who can.
