A service of Holy Communion based on the Church of England's Common Worship. You can expect a warm welcome, hymns and worship songs, Bible reading and sermon, prayers, bread and wine (currently wafers dipped in wine). Refreshments served in the hall straight after the service. At the moment, we don't have a separate children's group but can provide simple activities for children to do while they are with you during the service.
Messy Church starts with a choice of art and craft activities. Then we gather together to sing, learn from the Bible, and pray. We finish by eating tea together. It's planned with families and primary aged children in mind but all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There isn't a set charge but we welcome donations to help cover costs.

Sitting around a big table in the church, we will eat, pray and retell what happened to Jesus in the lead-up to Easter Sunday. There's a part for everyone who wants to join in. To help us prepare enough food, please get in touch to tell us if you are planning to be there..
The church will be open this afternoon as a quiet space for prayer and reflection on Good Frday, when we remember the death of Jesus Christ, who laid down his life for the sins of the world.
Join us at St Nicholas Church for a range of Easter activities. There will be crafts and an Easter egg hunt. Explore the church and the Easter story. Try ringing the church bells. Sit back and enjoy a cuppa and cake in the church. There will also be a few stalls and a raffle. Activities from 2pm, followed by a short service at 4pm to celebrate Easter together. There's no entrance charge but but feel free to make a donation towards the church roof repair. All welcome! Step-free access into the church is available through the hall at the back.
