This Service of Memories will include some carols, but it will be different from a traditional carol service and should last approximately 50 minutes. The service will be led by myself, and the preacher will be our curate, The Reverend Tim Gosden.

During the service we will be reading the names of those we have lost, and you will also have the opportunity to come forward and light a candle in their memory.

Refreshments will be served following the service.

This service begins in darkness, and then the candles are lit at the communion table and the candlelight is passed into the main body of the church. The majority of this service will be singing traditional carols, and hearing the Christmas story retold. There will be a short talk on the theme of hope, as well as some interactive elements.
After the service there will be a time to share mulled wine and mince pies.

This is one of our main Christmas services in the season, and everyone is welcome. Come expecting a loud and vibrant service with some carols and a short talk. This service is bound to get you into the Christmas spirit as you assemble your own Christingle.

Christmas Day at St John's is a real highlight for all. The service lasts approximately 40 minutes, and we sing a number of our favourite Christmas carols and enjoy a short talk from the bible. We look forward to seeing some of the children's presents too.
