Following the Summer service at Otterden on September 3rd, outside the St Lawrence Chapel on a lovely sunny evening along with the congregation, we all raised a glass of fizz and toasted Steve wishing him a happy and healthy retirement from Stalisfield and Otterden.  He was given a card containing photos of  the Stalisfield Church Council (featured) along with one of the previous DCC, and  the various "Holy Helpers": The Holy Dusters, the Holy Bloomers and the Holy Gardeners. He was later presented with gifts at his final service in the Benefice at Lynsted, attended by Church wardens from all 10 churches in the Benefice.
