Come along and meet Father Christmas, have a go on the tombola and sample our delicious home-made refreshments. Not to be missed. Open from 11a.m. until 3 p.m. Come for coffee and stay all day!

Welcome to the page for the Parish Church of St James the Great in Staple.

We are one of the five churches that form the Benefice of Eastry and Woodnesborough. We work very closely with our sister churches across the Benefice in Staple, Northbourne, Tilmanstone and Woodnesborough and would love to welcome you at any of our churches.

Here at St James’, we are a church focused on hospitality and welcome, determined to offer a place where everyone feels appreciated and safe. We try our best to practice the inclusive gospel of Christ, accepting everyone from all backgrounds and walks of life. We aim to meet people where they are on their journey and accompany and encourage them as they join our wider church family.

Our parish of Staple: St James is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).
